A winter’s morning
Very early
I was awaken
By a light so bright
A light that slowly
Swept the inner of me
with soft and reassuring warmth
A sense of purity
A sense of warmth
I suddenly felt
Like a newborn rose
Fresh in my garden of dreams
With a thankfulness
So unquestionable
A thankfulness for life
That I’d been given
This magical skill
To gain happiness
Within myself
To share my happiness
With others
And luck then always
Came back to me
There in my garden
My garden of dreams
I did plant a rose
For each and everyone
The only thing I asked for
The only thing I wanted in return
Was that they should water it
A nurse it some now and then
I never ever wanted/asked for
Any gratitude for this
Just that each and everyone
Should take care of their own rose
Give it care
Give it strength
An ounce of their love
Of their life-energy
But here I’m now
Yet here I stand
In a hidden corner
Of my garden of roses
I watch the strongest
The most expensive
The ones I held most dearly
The ones I loved
They are all slowly
Hanging their heads
Losing their petals
Nodding their buds
To the soil
To the earth
To the ground
Seems like they all
Do wither and die
The ones I planted
Just for fun
The ones I didn’t give
Very much hope
They do instead
Bloom lavishly
with huge flower clusters
On proud flower stalks
Of course it can be so
That expensive ones are sad
If the rosebuds are not honest
If their keepers are not true
But still it can be so
That the ones who were for kicks
Do bloom because they are
The real, true, honest ones!
Sometimes I feel
Like a wise old gardener
Learning human wisdom
From/In my rose garden of dreams!
